Includes: A one-hour exploration into the world of cacao and fine chocolates. We will discuss cocoa origins, history, harvest, process, and ingredients of fine chocolates. Learn how we make our chocolate here at CAO and experience the distinctive flavor profiles of single origin chocolate through our exclusive 12-variety tasting.

Name of Tour: A History of Virginia’s Wine Production: A unique opportunity for wine lovers
Includes: Mountain Cove Vineyards is Virginia’s oldest winery, and its founder, Al Weed, will lead the tour. He will present a brief history of wine growing in Virginia, from Jamestown to the present and describe some of the challenges facing this vibrant industry’s future. The personalized presentation will be followed by a tour of the facility and vineyard. A tasting and wine glass are included.

Name of Tour: Woodson's Mill, Water-powered, stone-ground grits, meal and more demonstrations
Includes: Demonstrations and discussion on their historic water-wheel, stone ground flour and meal, demonstrated by David Woodson and Dr. Woodson’s grandson. Woodson’s Mill is located just across the Piney River from Lowesville, Virginia. The building is a historic landmark, but Woodson’s Mill is still a busy place. We produce all-natural grits, flours and meals in small batches, by hand, from the best local ingredients available.
